About Us
The Training and Placement cell of IIIT Raichur started functioning in April 2021. The cell is responsible for facilitating and monitoring the recruitment activities related to internships and placements. It also conducts various training sessions for developing soft skills, problem-solving skills, coding quizzes, etc., to prepare the students for the interviews and coding exams.

Dear friends,
Indian Institute of Information Technology Raichur (IIIT Raichur) welcomes all industry stakeholders as a matter of their right to seek the relevant youth from this institute of national importance for overall growth. We believe not just the academics in the institute matter but the broad connection with the industry forms the basis of the excellence being nurtured in our students. We, therefore, seek industry intervention at all levels throughout the year so that during the placement season the industry finds many students meeting their expectations. The internship of students with the industry in all forms makes almost all mid-term corrections in the development process of an engineer in this institution.
IIIT Raichure, established by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in 2019 in Public Private Partnership mode, would remain indebted to IIT Hyderabad (IITH) for their pioneering efforts in forming and shaping the institute in terms of academics and planning for the infrastructure. The Government of Karnataka handed over the land of more than 75 acres for the construction of the Permanent Campus at Raichur. IIIT Raichur commenced its academic activity in August 2019 with its first batch of BTech in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 30 students, which are being placed since November 2022. Thanks to all industries and institutions who have bestowed their confidence in us while recruiting our maiden batch of CSE 2019 much ahead of their graduation.
IIIT Raichur offers a BTech program in Computer Science and Engineering following a Fractal Academic System, involving continuous evaluation of students, and more choices on elective subjects to expand their core knowledge. It has a well-defined curriculum with emphasis on the advanced courses starting from the first year itself, which lets the students stand on par with the emerging technologies in the field of Computer Science & Engineering. With a modest beginning, IIIT Raichur now has an intake of 60 students in CSE and plans to increase the same with the introduction of more branches from the academic year 2023 onwards. The institute is also recruiting more faculty and non-teaching staff regularly.

Our Senate considers every element of suggestion from all sources and steers the institution towards a direction that fulfills the foreseeable expectations while maintaining the grace of the academics in the long run. Industry-Research-Academia ties upon both niche and cutting-edge technologies are the key to the growth of the country. Therefore, at IIITR during this founding stage, we keep optimising the fusion of internships of the students during the 6 th -8 th semesters to plan their careers and also let the industry assess their potential and some performance during that period.
Our vision is to grow both vertically in terms of more intake capacity and horizontally in terms of the emerging branches and knowledge base in the field of information technology. Our pioneering batch is in the market now to generate ripples of their presence and actions in the industrial arena. I am confident, IIIT Raichur alumni would generate a strong pullup toward the growth of the institute while we play our role proactively in this direction.
Going to be based on the land of historic importance, Raichur, I am sure, IIIT Raichur will emerge as a state-of-the-art institute and its students will deliver their best towards the golden triangle formed by industry, R&D, and academics. Feel free to reach us for any concerns whatsoever.

The curriculum of IIITR Raichur, not only focuses on teaching technical courses, but also on making the students industry ready. The Prodigious Curriculum

The students are working in different startups and tech giants from the first year which prepares them for the industry, working in different fields like Data Science Machine Learning, Web Development, Software Development, etc. The institute also offers students the opportunity for summer internships as well as semester long internships to get Industry-Relevant experience.
Recruitment Process
- IIIT Raichur sends out invitations to the companies with relevant information
- Companies register through the Internship Announcement Form.
- Student Coordinators are allocated as SPOCs for each company.
- The pre-hiring process including PPT, Written tests (Online/Offline, GD, etc.), interview is carried out by the companies.
- Students are selected and hired by companies through the rolling of offers.
